Meek Mill Calls For DJ Akademiks Ban & Vows To Pull Up To His House

Meek Mill wants DJ Akademiks pushed out of Hip-Hop media after Lil Durk beat the federal murder-for-hire charges that threatened his freedom.

In his latest September 12 tweets, Meek dismissed Akademiks’ influence while calling out rappers who have described the streamer as powerful.

“seen asap rocky and doodie lo say he run rap… they my guys but that shit made me hot! This is a goofy that watch porn and get drunk daily and don’t come out the house … he don’t run anything but a media company!”

Meek then said he plans to build a competing Dream Chasers platform because he believes Akademiks profits from chaos around Black artists.

“Akademiks gotta go! I will personally start streaming to overshadow his corny ass 1000 clips he do a week … im tired of his voice! He causing death and destruction and laughing at it in our face!”

He urged people to stop watching Akademiks and said Dream Chasers should build several streams led by people connected to the culture.

“Dream chasers streaming we need 5 streaming we who can talk we’ll know the culture and tired of these agents reporting on our culture to confuse and benefit off our people! Unfollow and mute Akademiks they real poison.”

Meek’s posts began with his complaint that Akademiks gave 6ix9ine attention while Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, fought the federal case.

“Akademiks was in Durk’s case after he gas lit every major young hip hop beef…, let’s leave them in the dust … he broadcasted 69 while Durk fought for his life …. don’t contact him or touch his platform he’s here to destroy successful black men from the streets!”

Meek also made several personal allegations against Akademiks that AllHipHop is not independently reporting as fact.

The 6ix9ine conflict dates to 2020, after Daniel Hernandez cooperated with federal prosecutors in the Nine Trey racketeering case.

Durk publicly branded 6ix9ine a snitch, while 6ix9ine claimed Durk’s label offered millions for a manufactured online conflict.

After King Von was killed in Atlanta that November, 6ix9ine repeatedly mocked Durk and Von, including on his 2021 song “ZAZA.”

He continued needling Durk during the recent trial, even discussing a possible “going-away” celebration before the jury acquitted Durk on all murder-for-hire counts.

Meek and Akademiks have their own long-running history, beginning with Meek’s 2019 criticism of Akademiks’ continued promotion of 6ix9ine after his cooperation became public.

“He telling… shows over buddy,” Meek wrote at the time. “Stop posting bull you disrespecting us.”

Their conflict flared again in 2020, then cooled during a 2022 Clubhouse conversation after 21 Savage helped bring both men into the discussion.

The dispute returned in March 2024 when Akademiks linked Meek to claims surrounding a civil lawsuit against Diddy, despite Meek not being named in the filing.

Meek later said he had blocked Akademiks, but he is now pressing for a broader boycott and promising a face-to-face streaming challenge.

Durk remains in federal custody while he awaits an October 5 trial on separate racketeering and weapons charges.
