Mia X Credits Birdman With Securing A “Big Bag” For Verzuz Appearance

Mia X credited Birdman with making sure she was properly paid for the Cash Money and No Limit Verzuz battle.

The No Limit veteran shared that account with WZAK’s Sam Sylk while discussing her longstanding ties to Cash Money.

She said she and Cash Money co-founder Slim have been close since 1993 and talk daily. She traced the idea of a feud between the labels largely to their fans.

“Slim is one of my best friends. I speak to him every single day since 1993. Baby made sure that the bag was big for me for Verzuz. We just really have an absolutely great relationship,” Mia X revealed.

Cash Money and No Limit faced off in a Verzuz battle in Las Vegas on October 25, 2025. Mia X represented No Limit during that performance.

Both labels grew out of New Orleans. Master P built No Limit while brothers Birdman and Slim established Cash Money.

Mia X became the first female rapper on No Limit. Her albums included Good Girl Gone Bad in 1995, Unlady Like in 1997 and Mama Drama in 1998. Her No Limit work also included appearances on Master P’s Ice Cream Man and Ghetto D.

Her connection with Master P began in 1994. She recalled working at a record store and performing in New Orleans when C-Murder saw her perform and recommended her to his brother. C-Murder was a regular customer at the store.

This summer, she also outlined plans to release music independently. In July, Mia X announced an album drawing on older unreleased songs and newer recordings.

The plans included collaborations with artists she had long admired and younger women rappers. She said she took charge of the project herself after continuing to write during her time away from the spotlight.

The two label families have since taken their catalogs on the road together with the “Cash Money & No Limit Tour.”

“I can tell you this. Mia X loves Cash Money from the bottom of my heart and the depths of my soul,” the rapper said.

The Cleveland stop is set for November 15 at Rocket Arena, with Mia X among the performers. She said she, Fiend and other acts open the show before the rest of the lineup performs.

Birdman, Master P, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, B.G., Boosie and Silkk the Shocker are also on the Cleveland bill. The concert is set to begin at 7 p.m.
