Molly Santana Launches Black Punk Music Through Epic Records Deal

Molly Santana has signed a deal with Epic Records through her own Black Punk Music imprint.

The deal gives the 22-year-old rapper a major-label partner without pushing her new venture into the background.

The arrangement creates two connected lanes. Santana joins Epic as an artist, while Black Punk Music becomes the banner for the next stage of her work.

Her first release under the deal, “A Girl Is a Gun,” arrived Friday, November 6.

“Black Punk Music marks a new chapter in my career, one devoted to pushing the boundaries of creativity in music and beyond,” Santana told Billboard.

She said Epic gave the imprint the right home and credited the company with sharing her interest in moving music forward. Epic chairman and CEO Ezekiel Lewis described Santana as an artist with a distinct sound and point of view.

He said the label was ready to support the statement behind Black Punk.

The deal follows a busy year for Santana. Her profile grew after she appeared with Drake and Future on “Ran to Atlanta.”

The song opened at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. She also released solo records including “Live Your Life” and “Can’t Touch This.” Black Punk Music was already appearing in the release credits.

That run gave the new partnership momentum, but it also arrived after a disrupted summer. Santana and North West announced the Kimokawaii tour in June. The nine-city run was then shelved without a public explanation before its scheduled opening.

Santana released “Molly & Her Week of Wonders” in 2025. The new agreement puts Black Punk Music between that independent rise and a wider Epic system whose rap roster includes Future, Travis Scott and 21 Savage.

The imprint’s name also signals that Santana wants the partnership to carry more than one album campaign.

She framed Black Punk Music as a creative platform, while Epic presented the deal as backing an artist who already knows the direction she wants to take.

Neither Santana nor Epic has announced a release date for her next full-length project. For now, “A Girl Is a Gun” is the first finished release tied to the deal. Black Punk Music has moved from a name in the credits to the center of her business plan.
