Two Brooklyn girls. One serious fashion moment. Rock-blooded designer Samantha Black and Signature by Adjua Styles founder Adjua Styles joined forces at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, September 9 for Kings County Queens, a Spring/Summer 2027 presentation at Lavan Midtown New York that put femininity, power and transformation firmly in the spotlight.
Black’s latest collection played with the tension between soft and strong, pairing sculptural silhouettes, rich textures and bold details for women who are, in her words, “soft and sensual, but also powerful and fully in control”.

The collaboration with Styles felt just as organic. A long-time supporter of Black’s label, Styles brought her beauty-world flair — and signature bold lips — to the fashion moment. “Working with Adjua has been such a natural collaboration. She’s worn many of my pieces in the past and is fashionable by nature. We also share a love for making women feel confident through our brands. Signature by Adjua Styles is all about the finishing touch and bold lips, so incorporating fashion into her beauty world paired beautifully with my approach to design. Being two Brooklyn girls with a shared tomboy chic aesthetic, this collaboration felt organic, like our individual worlds were always meant to meet,” Black tells Page 2. Here are the looks, the lips and the Rock-fab faces that made the scene.
