Ohio rapper L-Heckto H-Donuts delivers with his new single, “740 Anthem.” The must-watch official video transforms the single into a cinematic mini-movie, bringing the gritty spirit, history, and unmistakable energy of Steubenville’s 33rd District and the energy of the Ohio Valley directly to the screen.

“I’m from the 740—I’m talkin’ 43952. You know how we do: PVC, Sherman Ave, 33rd, South Bronx.” – Donuts 

From its opening bars, “740 Anthem” makes the statement the 740 area code and 43952 ZIP code represent Steubenville, Ohio  while references to PVC, Sherman Avenue, the 33rd District, and South Bronx pay homage to the neighborhoods and housing projects that shaped L-Heckto’s life and music. In a recent Facebook post Donuts says 

“THE 740 IS MORE THAN AN AREA CODE. IT’S HOME” 

“The 740 represents our cities, neighborhoods, history and the people who carry it everywhere they go. “740 Anthem” was made for everybody up and down the Ohio river who still calls this area home”. – L Heckto H Donuts. 

Donuts ask fans and followers to Comment their city or neighborhood and their response ignited a trending post of Ohio natives repping their hood. 

The single flows over commanding, adrenaline-fueled production, L-Heckto delivers sharp, firsthand accounts from a street perspective with gritty rhyme patterns. 

But it is the video that takes the record to another level. With raw imagery and a dark, cinematic feel inspired by Mobsters, Madams & Murder, the visual puts viewers inside the world behind the lyrics instead of simply showing it from a distance.

The official video does not soften Steubenville for the camera. It captures the city’s gritty under belly, streets and gangster culture that earned the city the moniker “Little Chicago” in the early – mid 1900’s.
