NBA Ben10 Denied Bond After Feds Highlight Gun Photos Near Child

NBA Ben10 is going to stay locked up through his November trial after a federal judge rejected his release request despite his paralysis and medical needs.

The rapper, whose legal name is Benjamin Fields, pleaded not guilty on September 24 to two federal counts stemming from an April 8 confrontation at Confessions restaurant in Houston.

He’s facing charges for allegedly aiding and abetting robbery and brandishing a firearm during that crime of violence.

The situation started when prosecutors say Ben10’s crew approached Detroit rapper AllStar JR near an elevator and tried to rob him.

AllStar JR recovered a handgun during the struggle and fired at his attackers, leaving Ben10 with a spinal injury that paralyzed him from the waist down.

Ben10’s attorney Dustan Neyland emphasized that his client was the victim of gunfire, not the shooter, and that Ben10 never possessed a firearm during the alleged robbery.

Federal prosecutors painted a different picture in their detention memo.

They argued Ben10 poses a grave danger to the community, citing his social media activity as evidence.

The government highlighted photographs showing Ben10 holding pistols and AR-style rifles, including one image where he’s smiling while pointing a Glock at the camera despite his limited mobility.

Most damning was a photo allegedly showing Ben10 handling money with a pistol resting on his lap near a small child under four years old.

Prosecutors also highlighted Ben10’s criminal history and his connection to NBA YoungBoy’s Never Broke Again organization, which prosecutors used to argue he’s part of a larger criminal network.

Ben10 remains confined to a wheelchair and requires assistance with hygiene, physical therapy, and wound prevention.

His legal team noted he’s recently started stem cell therapy with a limited but hopeful chance of recovery from his paralysis.

AllStar JR faces separate federal charges in connection with the shooting.

Six people total were charged in the incident, including rapper OG 3Three.

Ben10 publicly defended AllStar JR after the shooting, saying “The whole thing went wrong but hey… if I ain’t know the truth behind it… he ain’t do shit wrong but take care of business.”

The trial is scheduled to begin on November 9, 2026.
