Nicki Minaj Says She Loves Trump & Refuses To Make Excuses

Nicki Minaj made her feelings about President Donald Trump unmistakable during a Fox News appearance while brushing aside critics of their increasingly public relationship.

The rapper joined Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle alongside Small Business Administration chief Kelly Loeffler to discuss the administration’s Million Dollar Pitch Competition.

During the Fox News interview, Ingraham asked Minaj what she would tell people criticizing her decision to work closely with Trump.

“Absolutely nothing. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with this administration and to work with President Trump,” Minaj said. “He has inspired many people, not just me, and he’s fun. He’s not just smart, he’s not just the President, but he’s also someone that I can relate to.”

Minaj described her connection with Trump as extending beyond politics because she believes his personality makes people feel heard.

“Every time I see him or every time I see him speaking to other people, he’s just himself,” Nicki Minaj said. “He’s very grounded. It’s easy to connect with him. It’s easy to feel like he heard you. He understands you. I just love him. I’m not going to ever make excuses for that because I don’t know why I should.”

The comments continued Minaj’s increasingly public support for Trump, which has included government events, conservative appearances and direct praise for the president.

AllHipHop previously reported that Minaj joined Grant Cardone and Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia as judges for the Million Dollar Pitch Competition.

The event offered $1 million to small-business owners and gave Minaj another prominent role connected to Trump’s administration.

Minaj has also said criticism of her relationship with Trump has strengthened, rather than weakened, her willingness to support him publicly.

During an earlier Trump Accounts Summit appearance, Minaj addressed the backlash directly while explaining why attacks on Trump affected her position.

“The hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all,” Minaj said. “It actually motivates me to support him more.”

Her Fox appearance also touched on whether politics should become part of her concerts, with Minaj supporting a separation between political messaging and her live performances.

TMZ reported that Minaj framed her concerts as places where people should enjoy music and create memories rather than receive political instruction.

The rapper’s comments add another chapter to a relationship that has become far more visible throughout 2026 as Minaj continues appearing around Trump administration initiatives.

Minaj is scheduled to speak October 10 at the X Takeover event at Tesla’s Giga Texas facility, according to AllHipHop.
