Papoose Accuses Eazy The Block Captain Of Betrayal On “Handshakes With Snakes”

Papoose accused Eazy The Block Captain of betraying his trust on “Handshakes With Snakes.” The new diss brought their old fight and his split from Remy Ma back into the booth.

The Ron Browz-produced track reached Papoose’s official YouTube channel Friday, October 30, at about 5:57 P.M. Eastern. Earlier that day, at about 6:18 A.M., Eazy released “Letter To Claressa”, directing his attack on Papoose toward the rapper’s partner, boxer Claressa Shields.

Pap returned to his claim that he knocked Eazy unconscious during their past confrontation. Eazy has repeatedly disputed that account. He acknowledged getting punched but denied being knocked out, a distinction that has followed this feud for years.

On the new record, Papoose also accused Eazy of repeating false stories about his private life. His attack tied Eazy’s past romance with Remy to what he described as a breach of trust after the two men had been friendly.

Eazy took a different route on his record. Addressing Shields as if he were writing her a letter, he questioned Papoose’s intentions and portrayed the rapper as dependent on her money. He urged her to leave the relationship and focus on her own career.

Both songs followed an already busy stretch of exchanges. Eazy released “Lothario” on October 10, bringing Shields and Papoose’s marriage into the dispute. AllHipHop then covered Papoose’s “Food For Thought” freestyle on October 27. That performance also included his disputed knockout claim.

The personal history helps explain why each man’s new song reached beyond the other rapper. Rumors linking Remy and Eazy circulated after the June 2023 confrontation at a Chrome 23 event. Remy also denied that Papoose knocked Eazy out.

In December 2024, the conflict became a public argument over both relationships. Remy posted what she said were private messages between Papoose and Shields. Papoose accused Remy of cheating, while Shields accused her of having other relationships. Shields later said her private romance with Papoose began in August 2024.

Eazy gave his own account during a December 12, 2024 livestream. He acknowledged a two-year relationship with Remy and claimed she and Papoose had already separated. Their differing versions of when the marriage broke down remained central to the argument.

Remy made her feelings for Eazy public at Chrome 23’s “Read The Room” event in January 2025. During his battle with Shotgun Suge, she answered yes when Eazy asked whether she loved him.

The music carried the dispute through this year. Remy challenged Papoose’s claims about writing her rhymes on “W.Y.F.L.” in April. His September record “Jezebel” repeated infidelity and writing claims amid another public clash between Remy and Shields. Remy followed with the EP Alimony and “Why I Get Married?” featuring Keke Wyatt on September 25.

For Papoose, the newest record’s closing image was a handshake. He built an extended passage around what he felt Eazy owed him after being welcomed around his family, turning each finger into part of the trust he accused the battle rapper of breaking.
