Quavo and Offset may have to take the stand as Takeoff’s mom fights his dad over a wrongful death settlement.
According to TMZ, court papers name both Migos stars among the people Takeoff’s mom could call to testify.
Takeoff’s mother, Titania Davenport, says she raised him alone and paid most of his costs as he grew up. She wants more of the cash than Takeoff’s dad, Kenneth Ball, who seeks half of the deal’s funds.
She claims Ball gave their son “negligible financial support and effectively no emotional support” throughout his life. Once Takeoff found fame, she says he paid her bills and bought her a home and cars.
Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle and shared the Migos stage with him, giving the potential witness ties to both family and the music industry.
Davenport filed her suit against 810 Billiards & Bowling in June 2023, seeking more than $1 million for her son’s death. She claimed the Houston venue knew about the party yet failed to plan for the risk or screen its guests.
Her lawyers said it had a duty “to keep the premises and approaches safe for their invitees.” The venue’s owners denied fault and argued the men linked to the shooting bore the blame for Takeoff’s death.
Both sides reached a private deal in late 2025, leaving his mom and dad to fight over splitting the cash.
Takeoff was 28 when gunfire killed him outside the Houston bowling venue on November 1, 2022, after a private party. Police said a dice game led to a fight but stressed that he did not play or join the clash.
“He was an innocent bystander,” Sgt. Michael Burrow said as police laid out their account of what took place that night.
Two other people suffered gunshot wounds and lived, though both had to go to a hospital for care that night.
Patrick Xavier Clark has maintained his innocence while fighting a murder charge over Takeoff’s death nearly four years ago.
Jury selection for Clark’s murder trial is set for November 5, 2026, with the trial itself scheduled to start November 9.
