Quavo Teases Another Album After “QRÖMELIFE” As Migos Work Continues

Quavo teased another album after QRÖMELIFE and said he was also working on projects for Migos and Takeoff.

Power 106 posted his chat with Justin Credible on Monday (October 12). The discussion focused on the release of QRÖMELIFE, which arrived October 2.

“This album just opening up the vault. We not finished. I got another album coming right after,” Quavo said.

He described a backlog of music after the long gap between projects. He also said he and Pharrell had about 21 tracks before they cut QRÖMELIFE to 14, with some songs they might save for when they work together again.

The album took more than a year and a half of work with Pharrell Williams as executive producer. They made songs at Louis Vuitton headquarters in Paris and on a yacht in Miami, working side by side to shape the record.

Quavo said he liked making music in the same room with Pharrell instead of searching through emailed tracks. He said Pharrell pushed him to record over beats that challenged his melodies.

The Migos and Takeoff projects have a longer history. Quavo outlined plans for more music with Takeoff and Migos in April, and Offset responded with his own post.

Quavo and Offset had fallen out in 2022, then grew close again in the years after Takeoff’s death.

The two later released “Away” together on QRÖMELIFE. Quavo said that session helped him reconnect with Offset after everything they had been through. He compared their chemistry to their school days and said they had known each other since seventh grade.

But building another Migos album also means deciding how to use the music Takeoff left behind. Quavo told the Associated Press he wanted to honor Takeoff and help his estate. He and Offset were bringing their recordings together to work out what fit.

“Because I want this music to benefit us and the estate,” he said.

Takeoff, Quavo’s nephew and the third member of Migos, died in a Houston shooting in November 2022.

Quavo did not give a title or release date for the follow-up album in the Power 106 interview.
