Ras-I to headline inaugural ‘Kingman Live’ concert in December

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Reggae artiste Ras-I is gearing up to deliver an intimate musical experience with the debut staging of KINGMAN LIVE: The Heart of Love Experience, scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2026. Presented by Ras-I Musique and Niche Entertainment Group, the concert will celebrate the singer's musical journey while placing the spotlight on his third studio album, Heart of Love, released earlier this year. The event's title draws inspiration from his previous album, Kingman, and his latest project, which explores themes of love, perseverance, spirituality and personal growth. Released on May 15, Heart of Love features 13 tracks, including collaborations with reggae and dancehall acts Kabaka Pyramid, Govana, Khalia and Nesta. The inaugural concert has also secured the support of Red Stripe, which has partnered with the organisers to bring the experience to life. Amoye Phillpotts-Brown, brand manager at Red Stripe, said the partnership reflects the company's continued commitment to supporting Jamaican music and culture. “As the beer of Jamaica, we're always excited to be part of experiences that celebrate our music and culture, and Kingman Live is exactly that. We're proud to partner with Ras-I and the Niche team to bring together some of reggae's established names alongside exciting young talent,” she said. “Reggae is such an important part of who we are as Jamaicans, and what makes it even more special is how it connects people from all walks of life.” Born Immanuel Kerr in Kingston, Ras-I has steadily carved out a place in the reggae industry with his distinctive fusion of roots reggae, soul and Afrobeat. His growing catalogue includes Somewhere Wonderful, which was selected as the soundtrack for the Jamaica Tourist Board's 2025 Easter campaign and previously earned Song of the Year honours at the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association's 2023 Honour Awards. The singer was also named Best New Reggae Artist at the 2024 Caribbean Music Awards and received a nomination for the Reggae Impact Award in 2025. Having performed at major events including Reggae Sumfest, Rebel Salute, Lost In Time Festival and Reggae Sunsplash, Ras-I has also taken his music to international stages in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany and Anguilla. With KINGMAN LIVE, the artiste is now looking to create a more personal concert experience, allowing audiences to connect with his music in an intimate setting. The full performance line-up is expected to be announced in mid-November, ahead of the December 5 staging.
