Remy Ma Drops “Alimony” EP Aimed At Papoose

Remy Ma apparently decided one response record was not enough for Papoose, because the Bronx MC just dropped an entire surprise EP called “Alimony.”

Yes. “Alimony.”

Remy released the project Friday, September 25, along with a video for “Why I Get Married?” featuring singer Keke Wyatt. I am listening to it now. The timing could not possibly be more perfect. Papoose recently unleashed “Jezebel,” a brutal record, yet smooth song aimed directly at his estranged wife. WIFE. They are still married!

Now Remy has arrived with “Alimony.”

Papoose used “Jezebel” to make some serious allegations that the streets concluded were true. He accused Remy of cheating and claimed he quietly wrote some of her rhymes. That latter part, I will not concede. I am certain they helped each other. Remy previously attacked that ghostwriting narrative on “W.Y.F.L.,” essentially questioning how somebody could suddenly claim ownership of her pen after decades of her being recognized as an elite MC. And she is right.

Interestingly, Fat Joe recently entered that specific portion of the conversation. Joe said he has never personally witnessed anybody writing Remy’s rhymes. That’s also his ride or die. Anyway, Joe is not getting in all that.

I remember when these two were once presented as one of Hip-Hop’s strongest marriages – Black Love. Now their separation has produced diss records, accusations, court hearings and enough drama for a Tyler Perry movie.

“Why I Get Married?” is important. Remy reclaims the narrative. She does not make any sensational claims on Pap, but she does strike back with a barrage of names.

Claressa Shields is dating Papoose and they have marriage plans. And Remy has recently been getting extremely cozy with Millyz in visuals. We don’t believe that one though.

And now we have an EP called “Alimony,” which is a dope project. She also takes shots at her husband on the whole thing.

Pap gave us “Jezebel.”

Remy gave us “Why I Get Married?.”

At this rate, their divorce decree might need production credits. HA!

Hopefully these two can eventually finish the legal business and find some peace.
