Rick Ross Allegedly Attacked Ex After Instagram Photo Sent Him Into A Rage

Rick Ross allegedly erupted over a tagged Instagram photo before a confrontation that left his ex-girlfriend injured and the rapper jailed in Miami.

Police say the August 28 incident began inside Ross’ Star Island home, where the couple was living together.

The woman told investigators Ross woke her angry about an Instagram photo tagging her, then questioned whether she had been lying to him.

She said Ross later struck her chest, tightened her hoodie collar around her neck and grabbed her ponytail during the bathroom confrontation.

Police say Ross then slammed her against a wall and hit her face hard enough to split her lip.

TMZ reported that she later gave police photos of her alleged injuries before Ross voluntarily surrendered Thursday.

Ross’ attorney Bradley Horenstein rejected the allegations and urged the public to wait for the case to develop.

“All I can say is that the allegations are false. He’s innocent. Everything is going to come out. We just ask that you allow the process to play out before rushing to judgment, because the truth will come in.”

The arrest came days after AllHipHop reported Kendrick’s accusations and photos showing what she described as injuries from Ross.

“The day Rick busted my lip and the day I left. I don’t know a lot of things, but I do know that a man that puts his hands on me is a man that never loved me and never will.”

“It’s always good until it isn’t. If a man hits you one time, he will do it again. Don’t give him the opportunity. Value your life and leave. I’ve had time to sit with it, process it, and start healing. Speaking up wasn’t easy, but your support reminded me I made the right choice.”

Ross voluntarily surrendered Thursday and pleaded not guilty to felony battery by strangulation and misdemeanor battery tied to the alleged incident.

Judge Mindy Glazer set total bond at $5,000 and ordered Ross to avoid the alleged victim and surrender any firearms.

Ross is scheduled for arraignment on October 22, when the two charges will move into their next court stage.
