Romeo Miller joined Hulu’s “The Mob,” putting the rapper in a villa with 11 other celebrities with up to $250,000 in cash prizes at stake.
The reality competition premiered Monday, October 26. Parker Posey hosts and also serves as an executive producer.
According to Hulu, the group picks a don who controls who gets paid, stays or leaves. The others can overthrow that leader. Each episode brings jobs drawn from mob movies, with the cast competing in an Italian villa.
Some of Miller’s castmates have played their own parts in crime families on screen.
Aida Turturro played Tony Soprano’s sister Janice on “The Sopranos.” Debi Mazar’s credits include “Goodfellas,” “Entourage,” and “Younger.” Their acting careers put them alongside reality stars from dating shows and Bravo.
Joe Gorga, of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” is Melissa Gorga’s husband and Teresa Giudice’s brother.
Harry Jowsey has appeared on “Too Hot to Handle,” “Dancing With the Stars,” and “Let’s Marry Harry.” Maria Georgas entered “The Bachelor” during Season 28, when Joey Graziadei was the lead, before joining this cast. Willam Belli competed on Season 4 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and also works as an actor and recording artist.
Miller already had years of TV work behind him before this cast came together. As Lil Romeo, he built a rap career and had his own Nickelodeon series, “Romeo!,” which ran from 2003 to 2006.
The son of Master P later appeared on “Growing Up Hip Hop”, alongside Angela Simmons, Rev. Run’s daughter, and Boogie Dash, Damon Dash’s son. By July 2017, Miller was among the returning cast members as that series entered its third season.
The show followed the children of music stars as they told their own stories.
U.S. viewers can watch on Hulu, including through Hulu on Disney+ with a bundle subscription. Outside the United States, the series is available on Disney+.
