Russ Millions has issued an open boxing challenge to rappers and influencers as Unhinged Promotions lines him up for its November 7 show in Ireland.
Harrison Sullivan and the promotion announced the rapper’s spot in a joint Instagram post on Sunday. The caption names Kilkenny as the host city but leaves a question mark where his rival’s name would go.
The video captions Russ’ challenge with “ANY RAPPER ANY INFLUENCER,” then “COME AND GET THESE HANDS.” Sullivan follows by billing him for the main event.
The fight news landed two days after Russ and Buni released “LV BAG.” The two have worked together for years, including on “Reggae & Calypso” with YV, which reached No. 12 on the U.K. singles chart in 2022.
Russ also has a chart history in the country where he was picked for his fight. His hit “Body” with Tion Wayne spent two weeks at No. 1 in Ireland in 2021. It became the first drill song to top that chart, according to the Official Charts Company.
In the U.K., “Body” made the same breakthrough for drill and held the top spot for three weeks. The track drew 10.7 million streams in the week it first reached No. 1. Its remix brought Fivio Foreign, ArrDee, Darkoo and other guests into the song’s run.
Russ and Tion Wayne told Official Charts at the time, “We want to thank everyone for getting us the first drill Number 1.”
That success followed two earlier Top 10 hits. “Gun Lean” peaked at No. 9 in 2019. That same year, Russ teamed with Tion Wayne on “Keisha & Becky,” which climbed to No. 7.
“Body (Remix)” also earned Russ and Tion Wayne an award. It won song of the year at the 2021 MOBO Awards. The honor went to the version that joined British and American drill voices on one track.
AllHipHop covered Russ’ plans for a full project after the success of “Body.”
His catalog now includes One Of A Kind (2023) and Shylo (2024). Shylo has 17 tracks, including “Canarsie” with Fivio Foreign and “No Diddy” with ArrDee.
Unhinged’s announcement lists November 7 for the fight in Kilkenny.
