Shaq Is Fighting The Internet Over That FBI Badge!

Did OG Big Matt call this one or what?

Shaq is out here fighting people in the comments over that honorary FBI badge and things are getting a little spicy. Make that a lot spicy.

If you missed it, Shaquille O’Neal was recently named an honorary FBI Special Agent during a ceremony at Quantico. FBI Director Kash Patel gave the NBA legend the honor and praised him for his longtime support of law enforcement.

Now, anybody who knows Shaq knows this isn’t new.

The Big Fella has been rocking with law enforcement forever. He’s trained with police, served in reserve roles and collected badges and honors over the years. So, this isn’t Shaq suddenly deciding he wants to be a cop at 54 years old.

But this FBI situation hit different.

People started cooking Shaq online almost immediately.

And apparently Shaq has been reading the comments!

Remember OG Big Matt?

Matt had a lot to say about Shaq and the backlash. But contrary to what some people might think, he wasn’t exactly telling people to cancel Shaq. He definitely threw his jersey and sneakers in the trash and said he was not effing with his favorite player. His point was basically this: Shaq made his choice, so let him stand on it. And if you don’t like his choice, you can stand on that too.

He said:

“Everybody got to choose which audience you want giving the applause.”

Well, a lot of people were not applauding.

This commentator @highlightreelasmr, criticized Shaq over the FBI situation and Shaq allegedly came flying into the comments like it was Game 7.

“U don’t have to like me I don’t like u,” Shaq reportedly responded.

OKAY SHAQ!

But apparently he wasn’t finished.

Shaq started talking about the man’s job, money and living situation. At one point, he reportedly said:

“You’re a follower I’m a leader.”

And then told him:

“Get a real job.”

Sheesh! Is this Shaq or his social media person? Shaq can absolutely defend himself. If somebody jumps in your comments talking crazy, you have every right to talk crazy back. By the way, there are a number of other situations like this online. I don’t think he gets it: money is not the thing here. Calling somebody broke is NOT the move.

Come on, Shaq!

This man has more endorsements than I have socks. We know you’re richer than the guy in the comments. You’re richer than damn near everybody in the comments!

That doesn’t necessarily make the other person’s argument wrong.

And that’s where OG Big Matt’s original commentary starts looking a little prophetic.

Matt basically warned Shaq that this was coming. And it is here!

He said people who don’t like the FBI connection should speak their minds. He also said Shaq should stand on his beliefs and respond if he wants to.

Well…

HE’S RESPONDING!

The crazy part is Shaq has spent decades being one of those celebrities everybody seems to like.

The FBI badge has touched a nerve that all those previous law enforcement affiliations never really touched. People are throwing away and burning Shaq jerseys.

One this is for certain: Shaq has been telling us exactly who he is for years.

He likes cops.

He respects law enforcement.

He has wanted to be involved in law enforcement for decades.

Now…the FBI.

And Kash Patel.

And the political climate we’re living in right now.

That’s a whole different ballgame.

OG Big Matt had another line that stuck out to me.

“You don’t belong to yourself no more, brother. You belong to the world.”

That’s DEEP. I understand the point.

Shaq is clearly reading all this stuff. Shaq might want to stay out of those comments and let it die down.

Or don’t.

Because this is getting good.

What do you think? Is Shaq doing too much responding to people—or should he keep cooking anybody who comes for him?
