Skilla Baby Gets Ford Field Pregame Spotlight

Skilla Baby has a hometown stadium date on his calendar. The Detroit rapper will perform before kickoff at Ford Field on Sunday, November 1.

The Lions announced the booking Thursday, according to the Detroit Free Press. The Four Tops have a separate halftime set, putting Detroit rap and Motown on the same afternoon’s music lineup.

Jack White and The Temptations performed at halftime at Ford Field during the 2025 season.

The appearance comes during the rollout for The Price Of Fame, his debut studio album. The project arrived in August with guests including Nas, Bryson Tiller, Chris Brown and Erica Campbell. That mix brought veteran rap, R&B and gospel voices into his latest release.

Skilla Baby also teamed with Live Nation Urban for “The Price Of Fame Tour,” a run of headlining dates announced in August. The route stretches beyond his home region, with stops listed in Texas, California and the Midwest.

Before the album came out, he spoke about what making it meant to him. In footage covered by AllHipHop in August, Skilla Baby said the work helped him through mental health struggles. He wanted fans to hear about his better days as well as the low points he had shared.

Nas appeared in a promotional conversation for the project and urged him to value family, self-respect and knowledge alongside success. He also warned against measuring his own progress against what other people posted on Instagram. The exchange offered a look at the advice behind the collaboration.

His life away from the stage has included showing up for young people, too. AllHipHop previously reported that he visited Compton College about a week after being shot in 2025. He was still recovering when he attended the Make Your Own Way Foundation event.

Manager Roccett told AllHipHop that Skilla Baby gave students clothes and talked about staying in school and avoiding street life. His team had wanted him to keep resting, Roccett said, but the rapper insisted on honoring the commitment.

For Detroit fans, the stadium booking comes ahead of another local date. His tour schedule lists The Fillmore Detroit on November 22, giving his hometown audience a full headlining show later in the month.
