ST ANN, Jamaica —A St Ann man has been charged with wounding with intent following a physical altercation with a relative at his home on Wednesday, September 2.
He has been identified as 24-year-old Manuel Smith, otherwise called ‘Element’, a mason from Mile End Lodge in St Ann.
According to reports from the St Ann’s Bay police, Smith allegedly armed himself with a machete about 5:30 am and used the weapon to inflict chop wounds on a relative. An alarm was raised, and the injured man was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Later that day, Smith turned himself in to the police and reportedly confessed to the offence.
He was subsequently charged and is awaiting a court date.
