Three charged with POCA breaches over $2.6 million cash purchase of motor vehicle

The police in St Catherine have charged two persons, along with a Manchester businessman, for breaches of the Proceeds of Crime Act in connection with the cash sale of a Toyota Mark X motor car. Mekicia McGill, 35, and 19-year-old Marlon McDonald are being accused of purchasing the car in cash for $2.6 million, in breach of the Act, which prohibits cash transactions over $1,000,000. Businessman Paul Hugh Davis is being accused of facilitating the transaction.
