Tia Kemp turned 50 Cent‘s $6 million lawsuit into a fundraising joke, sharing a mock GoFundMe-style graphic with a goal matching his demand.
“I need Money by Monday,” Kemp wrote in the caption. The GoFundMe-style image was a joke rather than a real fundraising campaign.
She also mocked him for using lawyers after making jokes at other people’s expense. Among her targets was his 2015 bankruptcy, which followed a court loss to another woman with ties to Rick Ross.
The lawsuit concerns posts about 50’s teenage son, Sire Jackson. As AllHipHop previously reported, the rapper sued Kemp on behalf of the 14-year-old in federal court in Los Angeles on October 26.
His complaint sought at least $6 million. It accused Kemp of defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress over her social media posts.
The lawyers said she made up a medical diagnosis for Sire and linked it to sexually degrading claims about his mother, Daphne Joy. They also alleged Kemp kept posting after receiving a cease-and-desist letter.
Kemp’s bankruptcy jab reached back to Lastonia Leviston’s privacy case against 50. Leviston, who shares a daughter with Ross, sued over a sex video the rapper circulated while taunting him.
Jurors awarded her $5 million before 50 filed for bankruptcy on July 13, 2015. They later added $2 million in punitive damages. A subsequent bankruptcy agreement set her claim at $6 million.
The current fight also grew out of an incident involving Kemp’s adult son with Ross, William Roberts III. He told police a man threatened him with a gun and struck him in the head in Daytona Beach on October 11.
50 mocked William for calling police and offered help for the accused attacker.
Separately, a Florida judge granted a temporary injunction requiring Kemp to stay at least 500 feet from Sire and barring direct or indirect contact, including through social media.
That order expires November 3, when both sides are scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on a possible longer injunction.
