Too $hort Can’t Wait For Diddy Party When Disgraced Mogul Freed From Prison

Too $hort says he plans to attend Diddy’s welcome-home party when the disgraced mogul finishes serving his federal prison sentence.

The Oakland rap veteran told TMZ he still considers Diddy a friend, although the surveillance video of him assaulting Cassie Ventura remains impossible to excuse.

“I’m going to the Puff Daddy coming home party when he comes home. I’m going to the party. He throws a party and welcome home.”

Too $hort said watching the footage may have forced Diddy to confront behavior he probably believed had disappeared into his past.

“He had to go through a lot of remorse when he saw himself do that. He probably thought it was swept under the rug and was going to move on with life.”

Too $hort also suggested Diddy’s switch to the “Love” persona may have reflected an attempt to change before his mounting problems fully surfaced.

“I think when he changed his name to love I feel like he there was a lot of stuff coming down the pipe that he probably knew and he was like I got to change my ways.”

Diddy, born Sean Combs, remains incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix after receiving a 50-month federal sentence following his high-profile 2025 criminal trial.

Jurors convicted Diddy on two Mann Act counts involving transportation for prostitution but acquitted him of racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges.

AllHipHop previously reported that federal prison records currently list January 21, 2028, as Diddy’s projected release date after repeated changes.

Too $hort said Diddy never exposed him to the sexual activity and private encounters that later became central to prosecutors and civil accusers.

“I’m mad at a friend of mine for being super freaky and all the of all the years I was friends with him. He’s never even brought me anywhere near anything freaky other than a fun party where nobody was getting naked.”

The veteran rapper described his experiences around Diddy as ordinary celebrity parties involving music, marijuana and people socializing rather than anything sexually explicit.

“Nobody was having sex. It was just it was just passing the weed. Having a good time so I didn’t crucify him in my mind for anything other than dang bro you kicked or you hit like you know.”

Diddy’s immediate problems extend beyond his sentence after an NBC News investigation raised new questions about his lifestyle inside the low-security New Jersey prison.

Men who served time near Diddy alleged he enjoyed contraband phones, alcohol, special meals, massages and help from other inmates with routine prison chores.

Following the report, TMZ reported Diddy was returned to the Special Housing Unit while prison officials investigate the allegations surrounding his conduct.

The confinement comes after Diddy previously spent time in restricted housing following a reported prison altercation during his sentence at Fort Dix.
