TotalEnergies Jamaica strengthens customer ties through client visits
KINGSTON, Jamaica—TotalEnergies Jamaica’s managing director, Badara Mbacke, led a team calling on the petroleum-marketing company’s bulk-products customers across the Corporate Area during International Customer Service Week, October 5-9. “We are a marketing company, and customers are the most important assets to our business. We have to listen to customers,” said Mbacke. “What I enjoy most is visiting customers and finding out how to improve the services we provide.” Among TotalEnergies’ stops along the industrial belt of Spanish Town Road, St Andrew, were long-established giants such as Louis Industrial Garage, Toyota Jamaica and Lube & Chemical Supplies, a relatively young 10-year-old supplier of lubricants and chemicals headed by Richard Ashman. “TotalEnergies has been an exceptionally good partner for those 10 years,” noted Ashman. ”Lube & Chemical Supplies has been able to expand over the years because of its relationship with TotalEnergies. Being a reseller of lubricants and chemicals, the partnership with TotalEnergies has been a feather in our hat,” Ashman pointed out. “It is very important to have top-quality products in equipment that requires the best. In the long run, it helps to extend the lifespan and functionality of equipment in which businesses invest millions of dollars,” Ashman emphasised. Toyota Jamaica, the island’s sole authorised distributor of Toyota and Hino products, has been a long-standing TotalEnergies client, entrusting vehicles supplied by the world’s top manufacturer of automobiles to premium fuel and lubricants at its three service centres, Spanish Town Road, Old Hope Road and Montego Bay, St James. Gregory Dalton-Brown, field and fleet-service manager, who gave Mbacke a tour of Toyota Jamaica's Spanish Town Road headquarters, praised TotalEnergies Jamaica’s team for ensuring Toyota Jamaica remains fully stocked with service lubricants and fuel. “The sales and business-support team is very responsive. Their response time to just about any issue is very important in this industry,” said Dalton-Brown. “Vehicles run on fuels and lubes. We need both, on time, and every time. You can’t service vehicles without lubes,” he added. The TotalEnergies team visited other valued clients throughout the week as part of its customer-engagement initiative for International Customer Service Week. Mbacke said additional visits are planned as the company continues to strengthen partnerships, ensuring it remains closely connected to the needs of its customers across Jamaica.
