Trippie Redd Named In Fight Before Double Shooting With Connection To 1900Rugrat

A man in Trippie Redd’s entourage faces attempted murder charges after a restaurant shooting that wounded two men, including one who was with 1900Rugrat.

According to Local 10’s account of the arrest warrant, the man was at Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen with his cousin and 1900Rugrat.

He said Trippie shoved his cousin, then two men attacked him when he stepped in to stop the fight.

The man told police he climbed onto a chair before a bullet hit his neck. His cousin said Trippie pushed him as he tried to leave.

The cousin said they fought, fell to the ground, and he took a shot to the buttocks.

Police say footage shows BalloutDaDon pulling a gun from a white bag and shooting during the fight.

“That’s Trippie, he started that shit,” a witness told detectives, according to the warrant.

One victim also described an earlier dispute with BalloutDaDon over who founded a group called YOP, saying they had not spoken since that argument.

The warrant names Trippie as part of the fight but lists no charges against him.

The September 15 shooting left two men, ages 18 and 23, hurt in Miami’s Wynwood district, as Local 10 previously reported.

Rescue crews took both men to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where officials said they arrived stable.

Police found one victim outside Dukunoo and the other outside Skinny Louie, the burger spot next door.

The case drew fresh attention when police went to Trippie’s $8 million home in Southwest Ranches on October 6.

As AllHipHop reported, officers found the man they were seeking at the house and took him into custody around 6 P.M.

That suspect is BalloutDaDon, whose legal name is Braveone Jones. The 25-year-old faces two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

AllHipHop reported bail of $15,000 on each count, for a total of $30,000. The search targeted him, rather than Trippie.

BalloutDaDon has also appeared in online content with streamer N3on, a link AllHipHop noted in its first report on the arrest.

The operation brought several agencies to the house, including Davie police, the Broward Sheriff’s Office, ATF agents and Plantation’s SWAT team.

Miami police led the shooting case, while Davie police helped serve the warrant at the home, according to AllHipHop’s report.

Police did not arrest Trippie during the search. Police say the shooting investigation remains open.
