Unbeaten Munro College and BB Coke meet in D’Cup top-of-group clash
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Munro College will seek to avenge last season’s loss to BB Coke High when the two teams with perfect win records so far clash in an ISSA daCosta Cup Zone D game on Wednesday. The match is to be played at the Munro College field in Potsdam, St Elizabeth. Three schools, including Black River High, have won all three games played so far and are tied on nine points each at the top of the group. Black River High, who are third in the zone on goal difference, will be away to Mt St Joseph Catholic High, who are yet to score a goal in three games and have conceded 32 goals. BB Coke had surprised Munro 2-0 in their opening game last season on their way to qualifying for the second round, while Munro College had failed to get out of the group stages. Munro College have grabbed all the headlines so far, scoring 26 goals, compared to BB Coke’s nine, but the latter are yet to concede a goal. Black River, if they manage to beat Mt St Joseph, stands to benefit as they would move into second place in the group and in the case of a draw at Munro, take over the lead. Six games are scheduled to be played Wednesday, with four more set to be played Thursday before the competition takes a break for the playing of the first round of the Ben Francis Cup. Wednesday’s games: Mt St Joseph Catholic vs Black River High — Mt St Joseph Lewisville High vs deCarteret College — Lewisville Belair High vs Lacovia High — Brooks Park Munro College vs BB Coke High — Munro College Lennon High vs Kellitts High — Lennon High Horace Clarke High vs Tacky High — Horace Clarke — Paul Reid
