Update: Police name Manchester crash victim

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Police have released the identity of the man who succumbed to injuries sustained in a crash on the Porus main road in Manchester Monday morning. He is 39-year-old delivery man Damion Reece, a resident of Seaview Gardens phase 1. READ: Man dies in Porus crash Preliminary reports are that shortly after 5:00 am the driver of a Toyota Hiace minibus lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn on the Porus main road in the vicinity of Trinity. Reece, who was a passenger in the vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Statistics from the police show that up to Monday, September 28 there were 255 fatalities from 220 collisions on the nation’s roads compared to 291 fatalities from 255 collisions for the corresponding period last year. — Kasey William
