Wait, Kevin Hart Had A Sex Tape?

Well, I had no idea this was a thing.

Kevin Hart has a sex tape in his past, and somehow that little piece of information escaped a whole lot of us. Now, he’s got a fresh legal battle that’s brought it back to the world.

Did y’all know this? I definitely did not.

I knew Kevin had endured some marital drama and a very public extortion scandal years ago, but the actual tape connected to the mess got past me. Now, nearly a decade later, that episode could become part of a courtroom battle involving Miesha Shakes, his former assistant.

According to TMZ, Miesha Shakes wants Montia Sabbag to testify in Hart’s ongoing lawsuit against her. Sabbag was the woman involved in the 2017 tape recording, and Shakes reportedly wants to question her about what happened and the investigation that followed.

This could get uncomfortable.

Sabbag sued Hart for $60 million in 2019, alleging she was recorded having sex without her consent. Hart denied wrongdoing. That lawsuit was ultimately dismissed without prejudice for lack of subject matter jurisdiction, according to federal court records. Watch for the hook.

Hart is NOW suing Shakes over allegations that she violated a nondisclosure agreement by discussing his private life during an interview. Shakes disputes his position and argues that Hart failed to satisfy obligations under their agreement, which she says makes it void.

Hart claims Shakes harmed his reputation by discussing private matters. Shakes is apparently preparing to argue that Kevin’s reputation had already taken hits because of controversies from his own life. One of the examples she reportedly intends to invoke is the 2017 sex tape episode. I know Montia Sabbag wants no parts of this.

And yet, that changes the complexion of this battle.

If reputation becomes a significant issue, Shakes appears prepared to examine exactly how much damage she could have caused versus whatever damage already existed publicly.

She reportedly plans to testify herself and wants Kevin Hart on the witness stand as well. Now she wants Sabbag involved too.

Kevin Hart has spent years moving beyond that ugly chapter. I mean we literally interviewed him! And Go Birds! Movies, tours, businesses and blockbuster success is all KH does now. And commercials.

Hopefully this works out for everybody. Everybody’s me. I do not want to think about a Kevin Hart sex tape ever again.
