Ye brought Playboi Carti and his daughter North West to his Halloween concert at Houston’s Reliant Stadium on October 31, with guest appearances woven into a set that reached across his catalog.
Carti came out alongside Ye for “Carnival” and “Off The Grid.” The guest stretch also included “Sky,” “Timeless,” “EVIL J0RDAN” and “FE!N,” giving Carti room beyond his collaborations with the night’s headliner.
North’s appearance included a remix of “Legacy,” an unnamed unreleased song and “Talking,” and Ye performed staples such as “Jesus Walks,” “All Falls Down” and “Through The Wire,” along with later selections “Ghost Town,” “Come To Life,” and “Runaway.”
The Halloween performance followed the Houston and Dallas stadium dates announced in September. For Houston, the show also marked a return after a long gap between traditional concerts in the city, since his last traditional Houston concert had been in 2013.
His more recent local appearances came in 2019, including Sunday Service at Lakewood Church and a Harris County Jail event.
Ahead of the show, the Houston Chronicle reported that Reliant Park had warned fans in a Friday, October 30 Instagram post that “outward expressions of hate will not be tolerated,” including hate symbols on clothing or signs.
The venue said it would deny entry to fans who broke those rules. The newspaper reported that it also prohibited face paint for security reasons.
The warning followed Ye’s antisemitic remarks and praise for Adolf Hitler.
Ye’s tour site lists AT&T Stadium in the Dallas area for November 7, followed by State Farm Stadium in the Phoenix area on November 21.
