South Florida is one of the few places in the United States where Caribbean music is not a niche format, it is the local sound. Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes, Sunrise, Miramar and North Miami all carry communities big enough to fill a stadium, and Roadblock Radio programmes for them rather than around them.
The weekend is where this market hears itself best. The Daley Grind opens Saturday morning, Island Vybz Saturdayz runs through midday, Full Revvvv takes the late afternoon and Roadblock Island Mix closes the night. Sunday belongs to Garfield's Sunday Experience and, later, to Reality Check.
