Washington's Caribbean community stretches well past the District line, and the music has always travelled with it. Roadblock Radio reaches all of it the same way: over the internet, with no transmitter in the DMV and no claim to one.
The Caribbean Carnival in June and the long soca build-up to it are the loudest weeks of the DC year, and the station's carnival programming runs on the same calendar. Outside of it, the mix shows carry the week and Community Connection on Sunday afternoons is the talk hour.
